Charity Textbooks.org is a facilitator of textbooks, novels, and children's books around the world totally free. I am Tiffany Ballington the founder of this non-profit organization based in Columbia, South Carolina and registered with the secretary of state since 2001. We at Charity Textbooks do not discriminate on where the textbooks are mailed by the USPS, any group needing books can receive them at their request. Donations and book fairs pay for most of the cost of shipping and the books are a compilation of donations from universities and colleges across the U.S., this way even the poorest of schools, refugee camps, children's homes receive up to date educational materials for the young minds of tomorrow.

We are now receiving used text from major universities colleges and technical schools around the country. Thanks also to the private organizations and single individuals who have come aboard giving books of all sorts. The response to give is enormous. Yet with minimal handling charges a sea container load of used books (about 25,000) has a shipping cost of (over $9,500) per unit.

Charity Textbooks recently received a free-hour of consultation from a senior marketing executive who handles million dollar charities, she said "as a minority business founder and a full time mother of 3, without corporate funding it has a limited chance of survival." This is where I will ask for any donation and prayer to help keep this worth while organization operating. Over 15 countries and organizations have received free educational materials to date.

Any organizations or individuals upon request can receive congratulatory rewards like a letter, plaque or banner of your contribution. Any amount is greatly appreciated and all donations are monitored by an independent attorney and a certified public accountant.

All shipping is documented by the US Postal service with a stamped seal on M-bags to ensure proper documents are filled out so the shipment will reach its proper destination.

We have supplied text to Kirbati for the Peace Corps, sent cases to libraries in Louisiana after Katrina and to our troops in Iraq.

Starting in 2006 we will be delivering new clean plastic 55 and 35 gallon containers with our logo on them for the students , facility and public to drop off the unwanted books. A hole is cut into the top of each container for easy use. Several colleges have received their containers and placed them in their bookstores, cafeterias, teacher lounges, civic organizations, fraternity and sororities and in malls. We deliver them anywhere in the U.S. and pick them up all free of charge. The books will help others who have no access to education materials, we know this because last summer we visited schools in Mexico and found as many as twenty students learning out of one or two textbooks of course we left a few cases.
